Starting from March 18, 2002 we have opened our public forum and are looking forward to your participation.

ESWC 2002

We are pleased to announce that the planning process for the next conference is on its way.

We are grateful that the first sponsors have already expressed their support.

It will take place in November 2002 Cologne again. Details of it will be published in the following weeks. Please be patient until then that old and new information still appears together.

Events

After a long and interesting day our mind wants a little rest....and that is why everybody enjoys coming together.

The evening events this year have been kindly sponsored by RegNow, RegSoft, DigiBuy, Simtel and Topdownloads- Digital River and
share-it! - element5.

And here they are:

Thursday evening before the conference even starts:

Place: Frueh Brauhaus (close to the cathedral - anybody in Cologne will know where it is)
Starting time: 7 p.m
Sponsors:RegNow, RegSoft, DigiBuy, Simtel and Topdownloads
Event: Family style service providing an assortment of hearty and flavorful German cuisine. The sponsors pay for the beer and pre-arranged plates of German cuisine.

"Colognians" would call it "bread". Outsiders would probably tag it "beer". We will be heading for the "Frueh" Braeuhaus which is the charming
place where the garcons will certainly be rude to you but have their hearts on the right side (as they say in German). Thank you Digital River!

Friday night:
Place:Maritim Hotel, Chrystal Galery

Starting time: 7 p.m
Event: Evening reception. Beverages
and snacks are provided for free

This Maritim Hotel is a fantastic construction. Its crystall galery is the captain`s lounge of this building that was designed to resemble a boat.The river is just a few yards away. There is a wonderful view of the inner hall from there. An evening packed with discussions. Thank you Digital River!

Saturday night:
Place: The Rhine as seen from a ship (Starting from Maritim Hotel)
Sponsor: share-it!
Starting time: Meeting point is at 6.30 p.m. at the Maritim Hotel. The ship will depart at on 7 p.m. and the tour will take about 4-5 hours.
Event: Special Evening Cruise . Beverages and snacks are provided for free.

Cologne at night. That means a colorfull riverside and some of the magic that many poets have described. (e.g. Heinrich Heine).

So be part of this experience and enjoy a panoramic view of Cologne´s Old Town by night. Enjoyable evening on the Rhine and get a taste for typical Rhineland cuisine in a relaxed
atmosphere. Thank you share-it!
